After missing quite a few weeks due to our travel schedule, Molly and I are picking up where we left off on a week 2. Roxanne, Jessi and Loni were our instructors for the day. They are so patient and encouraging. While teaching the mechanics, they also explain the reasoning behind each training exercise. Though I still feel completely uncoordinated, reviewing their videos helps immensely.
A place to learn a new language, the Koehler Method of Dog Training, which is an entire language of communication between owner(s)/handlers and their dogs. Let the journey begin....

Week 2 Redo
First, Jessi demonstrated the right turnabout training turn.
Then the left training turn.
Loni demonstrated the left training turn with a large dog.
Roxanne showed how to do “the kiss.”
Then Jessi and Link were up!
When it was my turn to try the left training turn, I was overthinking every step and slowing down so much that Molly quickly became bored and disengaged. Roxanne explained why this was happening.
We ended the lesson with Jessi working Molly. They are so cute together!

Back in Action!
We’ve been doing a lot of traveling lately so Molly has missed several weeks of training. Today I took her out on the LL and she did quite well-even with all the distractions.
After getting into a bit of a tangle…
We were on our way again 😊
Of course we had to take a break for a photo shoot. What a fine looking group of dogs!
Roxanne gave the term “cool down” a whole new meaning with a walk through the sprinklers 😂
It’s great to be back in training. I was honestly relieved to see Molly responded so well to being back on the LL. Can’t wait for our next lesson!
