A place to learn a new language, the Koehler Method of Dog Training, which is an entire language of communication between owner(s)/handlers and their dogs. Let the journey begin....
Mary, Good job and yeah, Molly IS giving you the AS (Auto Sit) which is what I am looking for in the dog's understanding. In the handler, that is you, I am looking if you know what to do to help the learning dog succeed which you do. Pass. Well done.
A few pointers.
* ALWAYS start in a Sit and end in a Sit * Praise for EVERY Sit, EVERY time. * I'm having a hard time hearing you command, "Heel"? Please speak up so the camera can pick up your verbal command. * When you end the video, you just go to mush. Please don't do that as we want the learning dog to ALWAYS believe that when on a leash it is 'Working'. So, either end in a Sit OR simply stand on the line, but don't go to mush as the end of a video. What is 'mush'? 'Mush' is not using the mechanics I have taught you, at all times, when a dog is on a leash. Remember we are training the dog to believe that 'leash on = 'work mode''. So, when you go to mush after filming, you undo that vital belief system.
Good Tunnel of Love! See you tomorrow morning for Week 3. There are two (2) EXAM's due in Week 3, lucky you-:)
