Week 6 is uploaded

Week 6 is uploaded including todays videos from this morning.  IF you feel like you can't hit the broad side of a barn OR if you feel your timing is way off, practice TC work with a cardboard box. Paint a dog face on one side so you know when the dog's face is turned towards you.

Clear as mud, right?

HHPR, August 1

This morning at HHPR…

Molly working against the distraction of barking dogs.

First my turn,

then Roxanne. Quite the difference! Molly knows who’s boss.

Redd resisting tennis balls

It’s hard to see but little Ruth was nit distracted by those dogs!

Fun morning, as always.

Week 5 Exam #1

Here is Week 5, Exam #1, the Vickster’s Test. I love the sound of goats bleating in the background and the beautiful scenery in the backdrop!

Week 5 EXAM # 2: String Test

 Mary,

There are 3 posts on the Week 5 EXAM. Review all three, make your thread circles, pick your location and start practicing. Do expect Molly to have to do this EXAM multiple times to pass.  It's a tough EXAM and the secret to success is the handler setting up the location, the level of distractions (low), and knowing what to do to help their dog succeed. This EXAM is as much about the handler's skill sets as it is about the dogs skill sets.

Week 5 - Pop Quiz Photo

Week 5 Pop Quiz - A photo of Molly in a sit/stay surrounded by her favorite things.

Molly LOVES food. If the tiniest crumb of anything hits the floor, she’s on it. So, I thought food would be the hardest to resist. She also loves balls and her oversized Kong toy she likes to drag around so I threw those in, too. She was so excited when she first saw the plates holding peanut butter, lunch meat, cheese and butter. Little did she know they were not for consumption! She soon found out the toys weren’t for play, either!

Here she is.

This is my favorite. She’s either falling asleep and dreaming of eating and playing with her toys or closing her eyes to keep from being tempted.

She cracks me up!
